Kia has revealed prices for its new PV5 electric van at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham. The van starts at £27,645 excluding VAT, with order books opening on May 1, 2025, and first deliveries expected in Q4 2025. This price includes the Government’s £5,000 Plug-in Van Grant, making it competitive in the electric van market.
The PV5 is priced around £4,000 less than the Volkswagen ID. Buzz and undercuts long-wheelbase electric versions of small vans like the Renault Kangoo and Citroen Berlingo. The initial offering is the L2/H1 model available in Cargo, Crew, and Chassis Cab versions, with other variants coming in 2026.

The PV5 comes with either a 51.5kWh or 71.2kWh battery, offering a WLTP-tested range of up to 181 miles or 247 miles respectively. It features fast-charging technology, capable of charging from 10-80% in under half an hour. Standard equipment includes automatic LED lights, heated door mirrors, and a reversing camera.Two trim levels are available: Essential and Plus. The Plus trim adds features like vehicle-to-load charging and blind-spot detection. Kia is projecting sales of 3,000-4,000 units in the first full year and 17,000 by 2030. The company is expanding its dealer network to support the new van, with around 50 outlets planned by the end of May.
