Kia Unveils PV5 Electric Van at 2025 CV Show
The new Kia PV5 electric van has made its UK debut at the 2025 CV Show in Birmingham, marking the first model in Kia’s new commercial vehicle strategy. The PV5 is available for pre-orders next month, with deliveries expected by the end of the year.

Priced from £27,645 + VAT for the entry-level version, the Kia PV5 Cargo qualifies for the government’s Plug-in Van Grant, reducing the price to £22,645 + VAT. This makes it significantly cheaper than its competitors, including the diesel-powered Ford Transit Custom and electric rivals like the Volkswagen ID.Buzz Cargo.
Key Features and Specifications
The Kia PV5 Cargo is available with two battery options: a 51.5kWh standard-range battery and a 71.2kWh long-range battery. The standard range offers a 181-mile range, while the long-range version provides 247 miles. Both variants feature 150kW rapid charge capability, allowing them to charge from 10-80% in under 30 minutes.

The PV5 Cargo boasts a modern design and features a 12.9-inch touchscreen powered by Android Automotive OS. Standard equipment includes automatic air conditioning, keyless go, and seven years of free Kia Connect services. The van also comes with a seven-year, 100,000-mile warranty, and an eight-year warranty on the battery.
Variants and Future Plans
Kia will offer various variants of the PV5, including a Passenger model starting from £32,995. The Kia PV5 range will be followed by larger models, such as the Kia PV7 in 2027 and the Kia PV9 in 2029. The PV5 will also be available in Crew Cab and Chassis Cab configurations, allowing for custom conversions.

The Kia PBV commercial vehicle range will be sold through dedicated retailers with van specialists and tailored service facilities. Around 45 Kia PBV centres will be established at launch, expanding to 60 sites by the end of 2026.
