New Mercedes CLA: Electric and Hybrid Options with Cutting-Edge Tech
After months of anticipation, Mercedes-Benz has finally unveiled the new CLA, set to arrive in dealerships later this year. The new model will be available in both all-electric and petrol-hybrid versions. This expands buyer options, rivaling vehicles such as the Tesla Model 3 and the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe.

The new CLA’s design is familiar to Mercedes fans, yet it introduces fresh elements.
Impressive Range and Performance
The all-electric version boasts an impressive range of 492 miles. The petrol-hybrid model will also feature a new 1.5-litre engine and mild hybrid system.

The front of the CLA features a distinctive grille and full-width light bar.
Design and Exterior Features
Since its debut in 2013, the CLA has targeted style-conscious buyers and the newest version continues this tradition. It has a low-slung side profile, reminiscent of previous models. The front grille has been updated, and a full-width light bar gives the car a distinctive look.

The rear of the CLA features a new light bar across the tailgate.
The updated EV components, including an 85kWh battery, will also appear in a future GLC EV SUV. The electric CLA delivers 492 miles of range, surpassing the Tesla Model 3 by 56 miles, and the Polestar 2 by 86 miles. The new CLA is also equipped with 320kW DC charging, allowing for over 200 miles of range to be added in just 10 minutes.

Interior and Infotainment
The interior of the new CLA has a modern, high-tech design. It features the latest version of Mercedes’ Superscreen, including a 10.25-inch driver’s display and a 14.0-inch central touchscreen as standard.

The interior boasts a screen-dominated dashboard.
An optional 14.0-inch passenger screen is also available. The infotainment system uses AI to provide voice commands and answer general questions. The cabin’s interior design includes no traditional dashboard and is available with several materials options, including open-pore wood and metallic trims.

The cabin features the latest version of the brand’s so-called Superscreen.
Pricing and Availability
Pricing details for the new Mercedes CLA have not yet been announced. However, speculation suggests that the electric and petrol versions will be comparably priced. Full specifications and pricing will be released when the car goes on sale in the coming months. All models will feature a panoramic glass roof, the twin-display Superscreen setup, and an energy-efficient heat pump.
