Key Highlights
All-New Nissan LEAF
Reimagined as a family-friendly crossover, the third-generation all-new Nissan LEAF incorporates substantial aerodynamic improvements and an advanced EV architecture. Notably, the all-new LEAF will offer 19-inch alloy wheels and a panoramic moonroof. For the North American market, the LEAF will also include a NACS charging port, a first for Nissan EVs, providing access to the Tesla Supercharger network. The new LEAF utilizes Nissan’s modular CMF-EV platform, promising efficient energy management and enhanced driving performance.
Next-Generation e-POWER
Nissan’s third-generation e-POWER system, developed from experience with over 1.6 million units since 2016, will offer significant improvements in efficiency, potentially providing up to a 15% enhancement at high speeds compared to the current generation. This technology also promises lower emissions and reduced noise and vibration. e-POWER utilizes a small gasoline engine and lithium-ion battery to power an electric motor, delivering an EV-like driving experience with responsive acceleration and quiet operation. A new 1.5-liter e-POWER dedicated engine and a new 5-in-1 system will be central to the advancement of this. The third-generation e-POWER system will debut on the Qashqai in Europe in FY25, followed by the next-generation Rogue in North America and a large minivan for the Japan market in FY26.
