Nissan Introduces the My Room Camper Van
Nissan has expanded its vehicle lineup with the My Room, a new camper van designed for those seeking a stylish and minimalist escape. The Japanese automaker, following a concept debut in 2022 and a limited “Launch Edition” last year, is now entering the series production of the My Room, according to reports from New Atlas. With its wood-lined interior and a versatile Murphy bed, the My Room stands out as a noteworthy addition to Nissan’s offerings.

While not the first camper van, or “caravan” as Nissan calls it, the My Room distinguishes itself from competitors. Instead of attempting to be a comprehensive solution, the My Room prioritizes a clean, functional design perfect for quick getaways.

Inside, the My Room’s cabin offers an elegant and modern design. Inspired by hotel rooms, the interior features wood-grain paneling on the floors, walls, and ceiling. A retractable curtain separates the living space from the cockpit. Wooden blinds allow for an airy atmosphere. The van features a pivoting second-row bench that can face forward or backward, along with a full-length sliding table, creating a flexible workspace. The fold-up Murphy bed provides comfortable sleeping arrangements.
For those looking for a straightforward vehicle for short camping trips, the My Room offers a compelling option. While it lacks built-in kitchen and bathroom facilities, it provides sufficient space for portable appliances should you wish to bring them. It also includes a portable battery station to keep your devices charged.
Currently, the My Room is only available in Japan, with sales commencing this month. It will be offered in both two- and four-wheel-drive configurations, with various trims available at launch. Pricing will start at ¥5,516,500, which is approximately $37,500.
