Noovo Vans Debuts Innovative High-Roof Camper Van
Noovo Vans, the company formerly known as Bemyvan, has launched its first demo build. The new camper van is based on the Ram ProMaster Super High roof, promising a new level of spaciousness for van life enthusiasts. The rebranding reflects the French origins of the company’s founders.
I recently met with CEO Benoit Lafond in Los Angeles to experience the new build. I was particularly interested in how much difference the additional headroom would make, eliminating the claustrophobia that often comes with the van life concept.

Even before stepping inside the Noovo Plus, I immediately noticed the improved build quality. Upgrades include brushed metal fixtures and light wood finishes that create an airy interior. This represents a significant step up from the company’s earlier models.
Expanded Space and Functionality
At 6-foot-1, I could stand comfortably inside the van without feeling cramped. Lafond explained how the design maximizes the perception of space within the confines of the ProMaster. “Giving you 12 inches more of height gives us the possibility to create some new space,” he said.
A key feature is the queen-sized bed that descends from the ceiling via a cable system. When not in use, the bed is stored overhead, freeing up the living area. Lafond also noted that the setup offers an alternative: the lower sofa’s seatbacks that create a second fully cushioned platform below.
Smart Design for Enhanced Living
The increased height also allows for increased cabinet storage. However, the most significant advantage is likely in the combination shower-bathroom. Using a compact, roll-up waterproof door creates ample space inside. The van’s design incorporates wood finishes and brushed metal fixtures throughout, creating a light and breezy aesthetic.
Lafond also highlighted the van’s technical features. A 400-watt solar array on the roof is paired with a 660-amp-hour lithium-ion battery. An upgraded alternator is installed on the Ram’s V6 to provide additional charging while driving. Lafond said that he didn’t need to plug in to top off the batteries during a week of showcasing the new van. Noovo customers using the same system have even gone for a full year without plugging into the grid.

Optional features include insect screens, awnings, a Starlink internet and Wi-Fi system, upgraded wheels, and BFGoodrich all-terrain tires. According to Lafond, Starlink has transformed the experience for many of Noovo’s customers, especially remote workers. “Starlink has been a game-changer for us,” Lafond said. “We have some retired customers, but also remote travelers that just wanna travel the country and Starlink gives you the possibility to be connected wherever you are, with a really good-quality connection. That means you can work, make Zoom meetings, or whatever. It just basically makes you feel at home, anywhere.”
Pricing and Future Plans
The Noovo Plus starts at $178,000. Because it is RV Industry Association-certified, buyers can finance a van for as low as $1,182 per month. This includes Noovo’s one-year/15,000-mile warranty, as well as the original Ram three-year/36,000-mile warranty. Lafond said the new layout is so popular that Noovo received 15 pre-orders after showing the demo build at Adventure Van Expo in San Juan Capistrano, California.
Noovo has since moved into a new 20,000-square-foot facility and plans to launch an online configurator in June, allowing potential customers to design their own dream van.
