Omaha, NE – Omaha police are seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual suspected of stealing a minivan. The incident occurred on the morning of January 21st at a convenience store located at 24th and Cuming Street.
The suspect reportedly displayed innocuous behavior prior to the theft. He apparently assisted a driver in putting air in their tire. The good deed ended when the suspect observed a silver minivan left running, unattended in the parking lot. After quickly surveying the area, the suspect entered the vehicle and drove away. A credit card belonging to the minivan was used in Council Bluffs shortly afterward. The stolen vehicle was recovered approximately three hours later.
Authorities describe the suspect as a Caucasian male with facial hair. He was wearing a black hoodie bearing the Nebraska Blackshirts logo, paired with black pants.
