NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – One person is dead following a collision involving a dump truck and a pickup truck that shut down a major road north of Nashville Thursday morning. The Tennessee Department of Transportation reported the crash around 9 a.m. on White Creek Pike/SR-65 and Sycamore Creek Road.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, one person died in the crash.
Smokey Barn News reported that the dump truck and a white pickup truck collided head-on. Footage from the scene indicated that a black sedan also sustained front-end damage in the accident.
All lanes are expected to be blocked for at least three hours, and traffic is being diverted from the area. Motorists are advised to find alternate routes.
The Nashville Department of Transportation (@NashvilleDOT) confirmed the road closure via social media on March 27, 2025, urging drivers to seek alternative routes.
