One Injured After Two-Pickup Truck Crash on Indy’s Northwest Side
INDIANAPOLIS — One person sustained injuries following a crash on the northwest side of Indianapolis Thursday morning.
First responders were dispatched to the 6000 block of West 86th Street, near Interstate 465, around 8:50 a.m. on March 27, according to a social media post from the Pike Township Fire Department. The report indicated a crash with entrapment.
Upon arrival, firefighters and police officers discovered two pickup trucks involved in a collision near the on-ramp to northbound I-465. One occupant was trapped inside a vehicle.
Fire crews worked to extricate the injured individual, cutting open the roof and removing the person through the windshield. The Pike Township Fire Department did not specify the nature of the injuries but confirmed that the person was safely removed and transported to a hospital.
