A pickup truck crashed into the front of a home in Allegheny County on Friday morning, causing significant damage. The incident occurred in the 600 block of Agnew Road in Baldwin Borough just after 5 a.m. According to Baldwin Deputy Fire Chief Chris Barker, the truck came down Joseph Street, traversed two yards and hedges before crashing into the house. The driver then fled the scene on foot but was later located by police.
Sky 4, Pittsburgh’s news chopper, captured footage of the scene, which is located a few blocks from Becks Run Road. Multiple emergency crews worked to separate the truck from the building and move it across a yard. Fortunately, dispatchers reported to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that no injuries were sustained during the incident.
Neighbor Michael Daley expressed concern about the frequency of similar incidents, stating, “We’ve been here about 12 or 15 years, and this has probably happened three or four times where people roll down Joseph and lose control.” The Baldwin police are investigating the crash, and further details are awaited.
The crash highlights concerns about vehicle safety and road control in the area. Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 has reached out to Baldwin police for additional information about the incident.
