Pickup Truck Crashes Into Norwalk Home After Driver Suffers Medical Event
NORWALK, CT — A pickup truck crashed into a home on Rockmere Road in Norwalk on Tuesday afternoon, June 17, 2025, after the driver suffered a medical event, according to Deputy Fire Chief Jonathan Maggio. The crash was reported just after noon.
After the collision, firefighters and police worked to remove unstable debris before extracting the driver from the pickup truck. The driver was subsequently taken to Norwalk Hospital for medical treatment. Firefighters temporarily shored up the damaged building to ensure its structural integrity, according to Maggio. The city’s chief building official inspected the damage and was satisfied with the temporary measures taken by the firefighters.
