Pickup Truck Driver Severely Injured in Crash with Log Truck on Prairie Road in Eugene
EUGENE, Ore. — A pickup truck driver was severely injured in a crash involving a log truck on Prairie Road in Eugene on Tuesday, March 18th.
Lane County Sheriff’s deputies and fire personnel responded to the scene around 3 p.m. The collision occurred at the intersection of Prairie Road and Irvington Road.
Preliminary investigations show that the driver of a silver 2004 Nissan Frontier pickup truck failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling westbound on Irvington Road. The pickup was subsequently struck by a red 2006 Kenworth log truck that was driving north on Prairie Road.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The log truck driver was uninjured and fully cooperated with authorities during the investigation.
