A pickup truck was destroyed by fire in a north Lincoln parking lot on Sunday night.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue (LFR) responded to a call around 9 p.m. about a vehicle fire in the Sam’s Club parking lot near North 27th Street and Ticonderoga Drive, according to LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman.
A video from the NOW Local News App showed the charred remains of the pickup truck as firefighters extinguished the flames.
Lierman said that the vehicle’s owner attempted to retrieve items from the truck as the fire spread. The owner was transported to a hospital and was in stable condition as of Monday morning. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
