Plano Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash
Plano police have identified the motorcycle driver killed in a crash Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Legacy Drive and Anniston Trail. The victim was 36-year-old Domin Obed Ullo Calix.
Police and fire-rescue responded to the scene around 3 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Calix with severe injuries. He was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators believe a box truck was traveling eastbound on Legacy Drive and initiated a left turn onto northbound Anniston Trail. The motorcycle, moving westbound on Legacy Drive to pass traffic, then collided with the passenger side of the box truck. The box truck’s driver was not injured.
Authorities reported that the motorcycle driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. However, initial findings suggest that speed may have been a contributing factor. The crash remains under investigation. The Plano Police Department provided information for this report.
