Authorities are searching for the driver of a pickup truck following an hour-long pursuit that began in Brookfield, Ohio, and concluded in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
The chase started shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday when Brookfield Police attempted to stop the truck due to a traffic violation on Route 62 near Bedford Road. The pursuit continued through Liberty, Youngstown, and Coitsville, crossing the state line into Lawrence County. Multiple law enforcement agencies joined the chase.
The driver abandoned the vehicle behind a business on East Poland Road in Bessemer, Pennsylvania, after 3:40 a.m. Police reported that speeds reached 65 miles per hour during the pursuit. There was little to no traffic encountered along the way. As of the latest reports, the driver remains at large.
