Police Search for Truck and Driver After Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Woodstock
The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in Woodstock on Sunday evening. The incident happened around 7:50 p.m. near the intersection of South Main Street and Route 232.
According to witnesses, a group of motorcycles was traveling in the same direction as a gray diesel GM pickup truck, which was in the farthest right lane. When the lead motorcycle attempted to pass the truck, the pickup allegedly moved left into the same lane as the motorcycle. The 60-year-old male motorcyclist from Oxford lost control, crashing into the woods off the road.

The motorcyclist was administered CPR at the scene but later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. His 50-year-old female passenger from Oxford was also hospitalized with significant injuries.
The pickup truck failed to stop and left the area, last seen traveling southbound on Route 26. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office at (207) 743-9554.
