Ram Expands Powertrain Warranty for 2026 and Later Models
DETROIT, MI – Ram is extending its powertrain warranty to 10 years or 100,000 miles for its 2026 and later model year pickup trucks. According to CEO Tim Kunkel, this decision was made after analyzing lease timelines and noting that nearly 80% of truck buyers finance their purchases for more than five years.
The comprehensive powertrain warranty covers key components including the engine, transmission, transfer case, driveshafts, differentials, and axles. This move aims to provide enhanced coverage and peace of mind for Ram truck owners.

The new warranty reflects the brand’s confidence in its vehicles’ durability and performance. By extending the warranty period, Ram is addressing the changing landscape of vehicle ownership, where longer financing periods are becoming increasingly common.
This change applies specifically to 2026 and later model year trucks, marking a significant update in Ram’s warranty offerings.
