Stellantis NV is exploring the possibility of reintroducing a more budget-friendly version of its Ram 1500 pickup truck to the US market. This comes after the discontinuation of the stripped-down “Ram Classic” model last year.
“We need to introduce kind of a lower-end trim of the new pickup to fill that gap,” said Doug Ostermann, Chief Financial Officer of Stellantis, at a Wolfe Research conference on Tuesday. He also noted that the reintroduction wouldn’t happen “immediately.”
