A Randolph County man is behind bars following a violent incident in Beverly that ended with him ramming his truck into another man’s vehicle. Faustino Jason Stokes, 52, of Elkins, was charged with destruction of property and is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $5,000 cash-only bond.
The incident occurred on June 19 when Stokes allegedly arrived at a residence in Beverly, sparking a confrontation with the occupants. According to the criminal complaint filed by Trooper Thomas J. Sclimenti of the West Virginia State Police, Stokes arrived in a white box truck and began yelling at the woman present, threatening to assault her. The man at the residence intervened, restraining Stokes until he appeared to calm down.
As the man began to leave in his pickup truck, Stokes allegedly used his box truck to ram into the pickup, causing significant damage and injuring the woman who was standing between the doors of the extended cab. The impact caused the doors to strike her, and the pickup truck sustained serious damage, with repair estimates totaling $7,083.84.
Sclimenti’s investigation revealed that Stokes’ box truck also showed heavy damage, with paint transfer matching the color of the pickup truck. Stokes claimed that the other man had beaten him and blocked his way, causing the damage. However, the evidence collected, including fresh scratches on Stokes’ vehicle and empty alcohol bottles found inside, supported the version of events presented by the victims.

Stokes is currently being held in jail awaiting further proceedings. The case highlights the serious consequences of violent confrontations and the importance of thorough investigations in determining the facts of such incidents.
