Renault Expands Electric Van Lineup with Trafic, Goelette, and Estafette
Renault has unveiled three new electric vans: the Trafic E-Tech, Goelette, and Estafette. All three models made their global debut at the 2025 CV Show in Birmingham, UK, and are scheduled to go on sale in the second half of 2026.
Trafic E-Tech: Renault’s Electric Van Offering
The Trafic E-Tech is the first of the three models, continuing the Trafic nameplate while shifting to an all-electric powertrain. It will be available in two lengths (4.87m and 5.27m) and a single height (1.9m), making it suitable for urban environments with car park height restrictions. The electric Trafic is slightly smaller than its diesel counterpart, with loading capacities of 5.1m3 and 5.8m3 for the shorter and longer versions, respectively.

Goelette: A Trafic with Different Configurations
The Goelette is essentially a Trafic with various body configurations, including box vans, crew cabs, and chassis cabs. This allows customers to customize the vehicle according to their needs, such as converting it into a fridge van. The name ‘Goelette’ is a revival of a model from the 1950s, known for its convertibility.

Estafette: Urban Delivery Specialist
The Estafette stands out with its taller design (2.6m high) and unique features like a bulkhead door allowing drivers to move between the cabin and loading area without exiting the vehicle. This enhances security and efficiency during deliveries. The Estafette offers a larger loading capacity of 9.2m3 and includes practical features like elbow-operated sliding side doors.

Shared Features and Technology
All three vans share the same platform, cabin, and battery pack. They feature a three-piece windshield for improved visibility, a digital instrument cluster, and a 12.0-inch infotainment screen. The vehicles also come with a commercial-vehicle-optimised satellite navigation system and a dedicated software operating system designed by Ampere, allowing for remote updates and integration with third-party conversion systems.
Market Impact and Pricing
While exact pricing has not been announced, Renault has indicated that the Trafic E-Tech will be competitively priced. The similarity in pricing strategy to the Master E-Tech suggests a competitive positioning in the market. The launch of these electric vans is expected to bolster Renault’s presence in the growing electric commercial vehicle segment.
The new Renault Trafic E-Tech, Goelette, and Estafette represent a significant expansion of Renault’s electric van offerings, catering to various commercial needs while incorporating advanced technology and practical design features.
