Lightweight Freedom Camper Revolutionizes Truck Camping
A new era in truck camping has arrived with the introduction of the Freedom Camper, a significantly upgraded version of the previous Tusca HitchHiker camper pod. Now under the Redneck Outdoor Products umbrella, this innovative camping solution has been redesigned to fit trucks as small as the Ford Maverick while maintaining its lightweight and versatile nature.

The Freedom Camper measures 48 x 79 inches and weighs 180 pounds, making it light enough for two people to lift on and off a truck. It features a full insulation package for all-season use, slider windows, and ventilation points. The camper is designed to be used both as a pickup camper and a camping trailer when mounted on a utility trailer.

The compact design allows it to fit between the wheel wells of full-size and some smaller trucks, including the Ford Maverick and Honda Ridgeline. The camper offers 48 inches of interior height, allowing users to sit up comfortably. It doesn’t come with a mattress, so users need to provide their own.

The Freedom Camper starts at $3,299 for the 48 x 79-inch model, with a longer 48 x 89-inch version available for $3,499. Redneck Outdoor Products also offers wider 58-inch versions in both lengths. The truck mounting kit is available for an additional $100.
This innovative camper pod represents a significant advancement in portable, versatile camping solutions for outdoor enthusiasts with smaller trucks.
