The Rochester Auto Show, a nearly 40-year tradition, recently took place at the Floreano Convention Center, providing attendees with the opportunity to see some of the newest vehicles available.
The show featured a wide array of vehicles, from commercial trucks to luxury models. Consumers could compare more than 150 new cars, including SUVs, trucks, and electric vehicles.
The auto show opened with a charity preview fundraiser, allowing guests an exclusive first look at the vehicles before the general public. The event included hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and a performance by the ROC City Singers, comprised of high school students from 19 schools across five counties.
Families enjoyed interactive displays, new vehicles, and concessions. Brands such as BMW, Ford, Mitsubishi, Chevrolet, and Lincoln displayed their latest vehicles, accessories, and promotional merchandise.
Bronco provided a demonstration of driving skills with an RC car model, while Subaru brought dogs from the Humane Society of Wayne County for attendees to interact with. Guests also had the opportunity to meet the Red Wings mascot, win art from local artist Noelle Okolowicz, and enter a drawing for a contribution of $500 toward their next vehicle purchase.
Singers John Dean, Ali Nicholas, Fiona Culhane, and Viveka Frisk all performed at the show, and viewed the event as a novel experience. “I would never think in my life that I’d be at a car show in general, let alone singing at one,” Frisk said. “It was just really fun to get to share our art with people.”
