A Georgia-based car dealer is seeking answers after his brand-new, $500,000 Rolls-Royce mysteriously disappeared and resurfaced in Mexico. Travis Payne, the owner of Auto Barn LLC, had arranged to have the 2020 Rolls-Royce Cullinan delivered from Arizona to his home in Atlanta. However, the vehicle never made it to its destination.

Months after the car’s disappearance, Payne claims he spotted his missing Rolls-Royce in social media videos linked to Mexican singer Luis Conriquez. “I was able to positively identify that was my car,” Payne stated. Adding to the bizarre situation, Conriquez reportedly refuses to believe the car was stolen.
Payne believes he was the victim of a double-brokering scam, where a fraudulent broker arranges shipping services at a discounted rate before subcontracting the job to another carrier. The scammer profits by pocketing the difference between the rate charged to the customer and the rate paid to the subcontractor.
According to Payne, the Rolls-Royce initially had GPS tracking, but it was disabled shortly after leaving the Arizona dealership. He also claimed that the vehicle was rerouted to Los Angeles before its apparent journey south of the border.

Payne took to online forums to find his car. He claims he received a tip with a TikTok video revealing someone doing a tour of the car, which allowed him to positively identify it. During an interview, Payne said the car had been wrapped in a different color. In a VINwiki interview last month, he recalled, “At first I didn’t think it was mine because it was white. But then I noticed the mirrors were still black, parking sensors were still black, and the wheels were different, but the interior was the exact same.”

Payne is now considering legal action against a Mexican dealership. The U.S. Sun was unable to reach Luis Conriquez for comment.
