San Francisco has unveiled a pilot program to provide electric vehicle (EV) owners with curbside charging stations. The initiative, developed in partnership with It’s Electric, has installed two charging stations in the Duboce Triangle Neighborhood that resemble street poles. According to the company behind the project, this program not only offers EV drivers additional locations to charge their vehicles but also has the potential to benefit owners of private buildings. The introduction of these charging stations is part of an effort to support the growing number of EV owners in the city. By providing more accessible charging options, the program aims to encourage the continued adoption of electric vehicles. The charging stations’ design allows them to blend into the urban landscape, minimizing visual impact while providing a valuable service to the community.
