SAN ANTONIO — Authorities responded to a collision on the northwest side of San Antonio early Friday morning, resulting in injuries and hospital transport for multiple individuals.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 3:11 a.m. on the 8200 block of West Loop 1604 southbound. A pickup truck initially collided with an abandoned vehicle parked on the side of the highway.

Following the initial impact, the driver of the pickup truck exited their vehicle. At that point, a sedan, carrying a driver and two passengers, struck the truck. Both drivers involved in the subsequent collision were transported to the hospital with lacerations to the head, officials stated.
One driver reported experiencing head pain. The condition of the injured individuals is currently unknown. The passengers in the second vehicle were also taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, according to police.
Authorities indicated that there were no signs of intoxication. KENS 5 will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
