Fatal Crash Near Yellowstone National Park Claims Seven Lives
A devastating collision between a tour van and a pickup truck on an eastern Idaho highway near Yellowstone National Park has resulted in seven fatalities, authorities reported. The crash occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Thursday on U.S. Highway 20 in the vicinity of Henry’s Lake, according to the Idaho State Police.
The Mercedes passenger van, carrying 14 individuals, collided with a Dodge Ram pickup truck occupied by a single person. The impact proved fatal for six passengers in the van and the driver of the pickup truck, police confirmed. The van was operating as a tour vehicle at the time of the incident.
Henry’s Lake is situated about 17 miles from West Yellowstone, Montana, a primary gateway to Yellowstone National Park. Following the crash, U.S. Highway 20 was closed for nearly seven hours before being reopened to traffic, as reported by the Idaho State Police.
