Small Truck Fire Off 18th Street
A local artist’s truck caught fire on Friday, May 2, while driving near the 19th Street beach access. Larry Anderson, the owner of the truck, was driving when the front driver’s side near the wheel suddenly caught fire. Fortunately, the Boca Grande Fire Department, led by Chief C.W. Blosser, responded promptly to the incident. Although the fire was already out by the time they arrived, their quick response is appreciated.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of 18th Street, a area familiar to local residents and visitors. Anderson, known for his artistic contributions to the community, was able to continue his activities despite the unfortunate event.
