Fatal Motorcycle-Truck Collision Shuts Down State Street
SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — One person died following a collision involving a truck and a motorcycle on State Street. Emergency responders from the Salt Lake City Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene near 1700 S State Street shortly before 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries. The other driver involved is reportedly cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
Police have rerouted all southbound traffic on State Street at Kensington Avenue. Westbound traffic on 1700 South is being directed to northbound State Street.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. This crash marks the second traffic-related fatality in Salt Lake City for 2025.
