Theft in Far North Bexar County: Public Asked to Help Identify Suspects
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in the theft of a pickup truck that occurred last weekend in Far North Bexar County.
According to deputies, surveillance footage captured just before 2 a.m. on June 15 shows a small SUV, possibly a Mercedes, pulling up in front of a residence on Veining Way. A passenger, wearing a hoodie, exited the vehicle and remained at the scene for about 18 minutes before leaving in a silver 2022 Ram 1500 belonging to the homeowner.

The stolen vehicle contained several thousand dollars’ worth of high-value work equipment. Authorities believe the suspect crawled under the truck, possibly to disable the horn or alarm system, before driving away.
Due to poor lighting and video quality, investigators were unable to obtain a clear license plate number or detailed suspect description. However, they did recover a screwdriver left behind at the scene, which is currently being processed as evidence.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking residents in the area to check any home surveillance footage that may have captured additional views of the suspects or vehicles. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at (210) 335-6000.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity that may be related to the theft.
