Understanding Quick vs. Fast
It’s essential to differentiate between ‘quick’ and ‘fast.’ Quick refers to a vehicle’s acceleration, while fast denotes its top speed. These two characteristics aren’t mutually exclusive, and some EVs excel in both areas.
For instance, the Rivian R1T accelerates to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds but has a top speed of 111 mph, making it quick but not particularly fast. In contrast, the Lucid Air Sapphire is both quick and fast, reaching 60 mph in 2.1 seconds and achieving a top speed of 207 mph.
