A pickup truck crash on southbound Interstate 95 in Carmel on Sunday afternoon left three men injured. The incident occurred at approximately 2:48 p.m. when a 2013 Dodge Ram pickup, driven by 61-year-old Raymond Deroche of Anson, veered off the road into the median near mile marker 171. According to Shannon Moss, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety, the vehicle traveled down a slight embankment and collided with multiple trees, resulting in significant damage to the front of the truck. Deroche sustained minor injuries, while his passengers, 36-year-old Christopher Stephens and 34-year-old Brad Wheeler, both from Madison, suffered serious injuries and were trapped in the wreckage. Emergency responders successfully extricated Stephens and Wheeler from the vehicle, and all three men were transported to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for medical treatment.
