Fatal Crash Near Frankenmuth Claims Two Lives
A tragic accident occurred on Friday, June 20, at approximately 10:15 p.m. in Birch Run, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. According to the Michigan State Police, the incident took place when a riding lawn mower attempted to cross Gera Road near Birch Run Road, directly into the path of an oncoming Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling southbound.
The lawn mower was occupied by a 34-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman who lived together in the neighborhood. When the pickup truck struck the lawn mower in the southbound lane, both occupants were thrown off and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford F-150, a 43-year-old man from Mount Morris, was cooperative with authorities and remained uninjured throughout the incident. The identities of the victims have not been released pending further investigation.

The Michigan State Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this fatal collision.
