At the IDEX-2025 international arms exhibition in Abu Dhabi, UkrArmoTech unveiled its UAT-TISA light armored pickup truck. The company announced the vehicle’s presentation on its Facebook page.
The UAT-TISA is engineered to transport defense personnel (up to four, including a crew of two), deliver ammunition, and carry cargo weighing up to one ton. It’s also designed for low-risk tactical missions, rapid deployments, and mobile group responses. The vehicle is based on a reinforced TOYOTA LAND CRUISER LC79 chassis, which UkrArmoTech specialists have rebuilt with reinforced components.
The crew and troops are housed in an armored capsule, separate from the engine and fuel tanks. The design of their workspaces aims to protect soldiers from mine explosions.
According to UkrArmoTech, the UAT-TISA provides Level 1 protection, as per STANAG 4569 standards. This offers defense against non-armor-piercing 7.62×51 mm caliber bullets from over 30 meters, and the detonation of a 155 mm high-explosive fragmentation projectile at a distance of 80 meters. Mine protection is designed to withstand the detonation of 3 kg of explosives and DM 51 grenades under the vehicle’s center.
The UAT-TISA boasts fuel tanks sufficient for a range exceeding 1,000 kilometers on a single fill-up. It is also equipped with a snorkel, front and rear night vision cameras, and can integrate a standard electronic warfare system.
According to the manufacturer, deliveries of the TISA vehicles to the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service units are planned for this year. A modification of the operational and technical vehicle for the needs of the SES is also under development.
In November 2024, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense authorized the use of the UAT-TISA in the Defense Forces. At that time, however, neither the technical specifications nor the manufacturer were publicly known.
In addition to the armored pickup truck, UkrArmoTech also presented the GYURZA-O2 armored vehicle at the IDEX arms exhibition.
The company stated that the Ukrainian Defense Forces should receive “hundreds of GYURZA-02 armored vehicles” this year. Designed for personnel transport (10+1), fire support, reconnaissance, and patrol tasks, the vehicle can be equipped with either a machine gun turret or a remotely controlled combat module.
