Ultraviolette Unveils Shockwave Electric Enduro Motorcycle
Ultraviolette Automotive has launched the Shockwave, its new electric enduro motorcycle, at an event in Bengaluru. The Shockwave is built upon the company’s new ‘Light Vehicle’ platform, dubbed ‘Funduro’. The bike promises impressive performance and is competitively priced.

Pricing and Availability
The Ultraviolette Shockwave is priced at an introductory ₹1.50 lakh for the first 1,000 customers. The price will increase to ₹1.75 lakh for subsequent buyers. All prices are ex-showroom. Pre-bookings begin immediately, with deliveries expected to commence in the first quarter of 2026.
Performance and Specs
The Shockwave is powered by a 14.5 bhp electric motor, delivering 505 Nm of peak torque at the wheel. Ultraviolette claims a top speed of 120 kmph, with acceleration from 0 to 60 kmph in just 2.9 seconds. Weighing in at 120 kg, the bike is designed for agility. The battery pack is a 4 kWh unit, providing a claimed range of 165 km (IDC) on a single charge.
Suspension and Brakes
The suspension setup includes 37 mm cartridge-type telescopic front forks with 200 mm of travel, and a monoshock at the rear with 180 mm of travel. The Shockwave rides on a 19-inch front wheel fitted with a 90/90 section tire, while the rear uses a 17-inch wheel with a 110/90 section tire. Braking is handled by a 270 mm front disc with an axial-mounted dual-piston caliper and a 220 mm rear disc featuring a floating piston caliper.
Design and Features
Ultraviolette states that the Shockwave draws inspiration from the two-stroke motorcycles of the past, aiming to provide strong low-end acceleration, which is characteristic of electric motorcycles. Furthermore, a two-seater version will also be available, enhancing the bike’s practicality. The Shockwave is designed to be fun to ride, especially on trails, due to its light weight.
Competition and Future Plans
The Shockwave is positioned to compete with the Hero XPulse 210, which launched earlier this year at ₹1.76 lakh. Ultraviolette also teased a new streetfighter motorcycle based on the Funduro platform, though details are yet to be revealed. The company will likely focus on the Shockwave and the Tesseract electric scooter, currently scheduled for release in Q1 2026, with more offerings planned for the coming years.
