The electric vehicle (EV) market in the United States is undergoing a dramatic expansion, offering consumers an unprecedented range of choices.

The number of available EV models has surged, and the quality and range of these vehicles have significantly improved. This rapid growth is particularly noticeable when compared to the limited options available just a few years ago.
From a starting point of a limited selection, the US market now boasts a diverse array of EVs. Here’s a snapshot of the current choices:

Three years ago, the selection was substantially smaller:

The contrast is striking. In just three years, the number of EV models available in the US market has almost doubled, growing from 30 to 67.
This rapid expansion underscores a substantial shift in the automotive industry, and this doesn’t even account for the European and Chinese markets, which offer even more choices. Tom Storey noted that many new models are expected in the coming years, which means the US market will continue to grow.
With an ever-expanding array of models and brands offering EVs, the American consumer now has unprecedented choice. The availability of EVs is set to continue its upward trajectory. While further efforts are needed, such as getting consumers behind the wheel for test drives, the trend is clear: The U.S. EV market is poised for continued growth.
