The 2025 Vancouver International Auto Show, which opened today, March 19, at the Vancouver Convention Centre, is showcasing a wide array of vehicles, including luxury electric vehicles and a high-performance hypercar.
One of the most eye-catching vehicles on display is the 2025 SSC Tuatara Striker, making its Canadian debut. This hypercar boasts a top speed exceeding 455 km/h and is valued at approximately $3 million. The Striker was unveiled to media during a tour of the exhibition hall.
The show’s theme, “ELEVATE,” highlights both electric and gas-powered vehicles designed to enhance the consumer experience. Organizers aim to present the latest in technology, including environmentally friendly EVs, alongside lifestyle features and commercial vendors.
“Showgoers will find the latest technology-leading, environmentally focused EVs, coupled with lifestyle features and commercial vendors; this is a celebration of the automotive culture in B.C.,” said Eric Nicholl, executive director of the Vancouver International Auto Show.
Nicholl also addressed the absence of Tesla at the show, noting the company’s last-minute withdrawal due to protests. He explained that the decision was made out of concern for public safety.
The Vancouver International Auto Show continues until Sunday, March 23, 2025.
