A Chevy Silverado caused significant structural damage Thursday night in Callery Borough after crashing into a residential building. The Butler County 911 Center received the call reporting the incident shortly before 9 p.m., with the vehicle impacting a home located in the 1300 block of Mars Evans City Road.
Emergency responders from Callery, Evans City, and Adams Township quickly arrived at the scene, assessing the damage before requesting the assistance of a specialized structure collapse rescue team. Utility companies, including power and gas providers, were also contacted to shut down services to the affected area. Fortunately, initial reports indicate that no serious injuries were sustained during the incident.
To facilitate access for emergency crews and allow for the stabilization of the damaged structure, a portion of Mars Evans City Road was temporarily closed to traffic. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
