Volkswagen ID.EVERY1: Making Electric Mobility Accessible
Volkswagen, known for its commitment to accessible mobility, is venturing into the affordable electric vehicle (EV) market with its ID.EVERY1 concept. This new model is designed to make electric driving accessible to a wider audience.

Volkswagen ID.EVERY1 Concept
Unveiled as an entry-level EV, the ID.EVERY1 is slated for a 2027 launch with an anticipated starting price of approximately €20,000. This release follows the planned 2026 debut of the ID.2all, positioned in the €25,000 price range. Both models are part of Volkswagen’s Electric Urban Car Family and are built on the modular electric drive (MEB) platform with front-wheel drive.
Compact Yet Versatile for City Living
The ID.EVERY1 is designed to appeal to both private owners and commercial customers, offering a smart and flexible driving experience. Built on Volkswagen’s latest MEB platform, the ID.EVERY1 is expected to achieve a top speed of 130 km/h. The 70 kW (95 PS) electric motor provides a projected range of at least 250 kilometers, making it well-suited for urban commutes.
Measuring 3,880mm in length, the ID.EVERY1 fits between the discontinued Volkswagen up! and the current Polo. The car offers a practical layout with seating for four and a luggage capacity of 305 litres, providing essential space for everyday needs.
Design That Stands Out
Volkswagen has ensured the ID.EVERY1 reflects the brand’s evolving design language. Inspired by the up!, the ID.EVERY1 features a bold yet approachable aesthetic. The dynamic front lights and a rear design reminiscent of a smile give the car a distinctive character.
According to Andreas Mindt, Volkswagen’s Head of Design, the goal was to create a model that is both self-assured and likeable. This approach should provide an identity that resonates with customers.
