Farizon SV Electric Van Launches in UK
Farizon has officially entered the UK market with its ‘SV’ Supervan, an all-electric vehicle with prices starting at exactly £45,000 (excluding VAT). The company, owned by Chinese automotive giant Geely, offers buyers a choice of five body sizes and three battery options, providing up to 247 miles of range.

The Farizon SV will be distributed in the UK by London-based Jameel Motors, with deliveries scheduled to begin this summer. The van was unveiled at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham in April, where it was announced that the SV would be available with a refrigeration unit conversion by Paneltex, a global leader in temperature-controlled vehicle body building.
Key Features and Specifications
The refrigerated version of the SV features a sliding door without a B-pillar, making loading and unloading easier. The refrigeration unit is powered by the van’s electrical architecture, eliminating the need for auxiliary batteries and thus saving weight and cost. Other partners involved in the SV’s development include Motexion, which provided cargo-carrying protection solutions, and Wottz, which will supply extra-long charging cables of up to 7.5 meters.

The Farizon SV is designed to meet European fleet needs, with body sizes ranging from the L1 H1 model (4,990mm long and 1,980mm high) to the L3 H3 model (5,995mm long and 2,500mm high). The largest version offers a load capacity of up to 13 cubic meters and a maximum payload of 1,390kg. The van comes standard with a payload-monitoring system and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen.
Technology and Safety
The SV features cell-to-pack technology to enhance battery capacity and reduce weight. It also boasts a dual-redundancy, drive-by-wire setup for braking and steering, ensuring a backup is available in case of connection failure. Farizon claims the SV has undergone a rigorous one-million-mile testing and development program and will meet all European standards for durability, safety, and sustainability.
The van is available with three battery options: 67kWh, 83kWh, and 106kWh, offering ranges between 177 miles and 247 miles. Farizon states that up to 342 miles is feasible in urban environments. Standard features include wireless Apple CarPlay, heated and ventilated seats, a heated windscreen, and various driver assistance systems.
Warranty and Safety Ratings
The Farizon SV comes with a four-year/120,000-mile warranty. It has been tested by Euro NCAP, scoring 85 points, which Farizon claims places it among the UK’s best options for safe and reliable large vans.
The Farizon SV faces competition from other electric vans such as the Ford E-Transit Custom, Volkswagen ID.Buzz Cargo, Ford E-Transit, and Renault Master E-Tech. Its modular platform is designed to offer benefits in cargo space, range, handling, and safety.
