Topeka, Kansas – A woman was killed Monday afternoon after being struck by a pickup truck in the parking lot of the Walmart located at 2600 N.W. Rochester Road in North Topeka.
Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 3:35 p.m., where the woman was pronounced dead, according to Rosie Nichols, Public Safety Communications Specialist for the City of Topeka.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene following the incident. The Topeka Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, but the names of the victim and the driver have not been released to the public.
