ELECTRIC CITY, Wash. – A 55-year-old woman from Camas was struck by a pickup truck Wednesday night while walking along the side of the road.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), Michelle Boord was walking on the shoulder of SR 155 shortly before 8:00 p.m. when she reportedly walked into the roadway and was hit by a 2021 GMC Sierra pickup truck.
The driver of the truck, a 73-year-old woman from Grand Coulee, was not injured in the incident and is not facing any charges, the WSP reported.
Boord was transported to a Spokane hospital by Life Flight for treatment. The extent of her injuries is currently unknown.
