Wrong-Way Driver Killed in U.S. 301 Crash
PASCO COUNTY, FL — A wrong-way collision on U.S. 301 in Pasco County claimed the life of a pickup truck driver early Friday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported. The crash occurred when the pickup truck, traveling south in the northbound lanes, collided head-on with a tractor-trailer.
The incident happened shortly before 5 a.m. near Mickler Road. According to the FHP, the tractor-trailer, driven by a 41-year-old man from Haines City, was traveling north in the correct lanes when the collision occurred.

The driver of the pickup truck, who has not been identified, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The FHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
