Zeekr Unveils 009 Grand Collector’s Edition with Hefty Price Tag
Zeekr has taken its luxury game up a notch with the launch of the Zeekr 009 Grand Collector’s Edition, a more exclusive variant of its flagship MPV. Priced at RMB 899,000 ($123,150), this limited edition model costs 13.94% more than the standard Zeekr 009 Grand, which starts at RMB 789,000.
The Zeekr 009 Grand Collector’s Edition is not just a cosmetic upgrade; it features several unique elements that justify its premium pricing. The model boasts seven emblems adorned with 3 grams of 24K pure gold on the front, rear, and wheel hubs, creating an “unmistakable signature of prestige and enduring value.” The golden waistline is inspired by the traditional Chinese technique of mirror black glaze, achieved through a meticulous 16-step process taking over 30 hours.
In terms of specifications, the Zeekr 009 Grand Collector’s Edition retains the same core hardware as the regular Zeekr 009 Grand. It measures 5,217 mm in length, 2,024 mm in width, and 1,812 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,205 mm. The dual electric motors deliver 580 kW of peak power and 810 Nm of peak torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds. The vehicle is powered by a 108-kWh Li-ion ternary battery pack from CATL, supporting 5C fast charging and offering a CLTC range of 702 kilometers.
The Zeekr 009 Grand Collector’s Edition is now open for orders, with deliveries set to begin in June. This latest move underscores Zeekr’s commitment to the luxury EV market, where it claims a significant market share. According to Zeekr, for every two four-seat ultra-luxury models sold, one is the Zeekr 009 Grand.
The Zeekr 009 series has been performing well, with 3,672 units delivered in March, accounting for 23.81% of Zeekr’s monthly deliveries. In the first quarter, it delivered 7,162 units, contributing 17.30% of the brand’s total deliveries.
With the launch of the Zeekr 009 Grand Collector’s Edition, Zeekr continues to push the boundaries of luxury electric vehicles, offering exclusivity and premium features to discerning customers.
